RIP Peter

I was saddened to learn this evening, upon returning from the Mets game, that Peter Jennings had died of lung cancer. Growing up, I was always fascinated by the evening news, as this was before I constantly had cable and access to CNN. People like Peter Jennings brought the events of the world into my living room on a nightly basis, and I for one will always remember him with fondness.
