Where does the time go?

I've been meaning to write for a while now, but man, it seems like there's never any time.

So, last Thursday I caught the last Guided By Voices show here in NYC with Tammy, and I have to say I was a bit disappointed. It was outside on the pier on the Hudson River and it was a gorgeous night, but that's about all I can say about the setting. There were a lot of people there, which made for me being quite a ways from the stage. Plus, there was no beer there. Now, I do believe you can have fun without drinking, but not while watching GBV. Hell, they're drunk, so everyone in the audience should be too. It was the first time I saw them completely sober. So, factor all those things together and it made for a fun show, but it was not a fond good-bye for me. Oh well.

After the show, we were going to go to the karaoke party, but there so many people there, it was miserable and we didn't stay. So, we went around the corner and had a few beers and ran into none other than David Lee Roth. PANAMA! JUMP! Good times.

Saturday was nice, although I totally forgot about my friend Bradford Reed playing in the afternoon. Oops. I started the day at the local pub, O'Connors to have a couple of beers with Rob. After that it was off to Jersey City so Rob could pick up his band's pay from the night before. Kind of funny being in Jersey. It's so close, yet it's like a whole 'nother world. Then, I met Tammy and Anthony out at Black & White and proceded to get incredibly intoxicated. Good times were had by all.

I don't know what it is, but ever since I moved here, I've had the worse hangovers of my life. And lots more often, too. Is it because I'm getting older? Or is it the Reingold? The worse beer in the world, yet I keep drinking it. Go figure.
