My Triumphant Return!

Lots to write about today. Where do I begin?

First, I bought my ticket to Dallas today for Reed's wedding. I'll be there from the 2nd to the 7th. I'm very excited. Things on my agenda aside from the wedding: pinball and Shiner at the Meridian Room, margaritas and food at Pepe and Mito's, burrito at Freebird's, dinner at Genghis Grill, brunch at All Good. That about narrows it down. I'm really not too excited to see anyone. I mean, Missie, I'll be excited to see her, but I think she'll be visiting me not too long thereafter. I always have fun with Kelli, but she's going to be here at the end of the month and not back in Dallas, then. Jessica, I've seen her a couple times already when she's been up here. Who else is there? I guess no one.

Speaking of Dallas, I found out an old girlfriend of mine just got engaged to the guy she dated after me. Melissa and Davey are tying the knot. Good for them. Could have been me.

Now, I better take time to sum up my past weekend, because it was a good one. Last Thursday started with the very last Beulah show ever. Yep, ever. It was nice, because it was a free show, outside at Castle Clinton. One of those moments when I'm glad I live in the city. Followed by another great moment the next evening with another free outdoor show from Enon on the other side of Manhattan at South Street Seaport. It was about 65 degrees, free Becks, downtown Manhattan skyline behind me, Enon on the water in front of me with a downtown Brookly skyline backdrop. Lovely.

After that show, it was time for Mexican and margaritas. As usual, the mexican food left much to be desired. But then it was on to Winnie's in Chinatown for Karaoke, one of the top Karaoke places in the city. I got a little loaded and sang "Livin' On A Prayer" from Bon Jovi. Good times, good times. So hot, drunk girl was hitting on me after I sang because she thought I was some DJ from some club on the Upper East Side. "I won't blow your cover" she kept saying. Whatever the hell that meant. Too bad she was completely wasted.

Saturday was spent at home in bed because I was hung over. I'm getting old. Can't quite party like I used to.

Sunday, it was onto the Singapore Chili Crab Festival. It was fun, but a bit of a disappointment because they ran out of chili crab before we got there. Kinda lame. But, it was a beautiful day; perfect for drinking a couple of beers and watching the people.

Whew, that's a lot. I'm done typing.
