wahoo! my first birthday in NYC. I have to admit I'm feeling a little nostalgic right now, longing for the days of friends and good times. Not that I don't have friends here, but, you know, after only two months, they're still really only acquaintances. It makes me wonder who from Dallas will call or write on my birthday. Probably no one. The Rose is still out there. I called her a few days ago, but she wasn't home. Wonder if she got the message? Holli? Probably not. She has a new beau from what I hear. Yeah for her. Mark? Probably not. He bought into the "I have a drug habbit" rumor, and even though I sent him a little e-card on his birthday, I'm sure he'll forget all about mine.
But that's neither here nor there, it's more of a personal social experiment for me more than anything else. I know I am not missed by many, but that's OK I guess because I don't miss many.
So... what have I been up to? Working at spinART still three days a week. It's fun and it passes the time. I've also been doing some freelance web design stuff for the coalition that my old store was a part of. That has been fun because they want a brand spankin' new web site, with a special section for labels that will require them to log in and what not. It's been enjoyable busting out the ASP skills yet again. Sort of reminds me of a time a little over a year ago when Holli and I completely redid the Good Records web site. Only this time I'm not sitting in a room next to the one I love watching in amazement at all her incredible skills. When the hell is she ever going to stop waiting tables?
I also made some flyers for a DJ friend of mine and that was fun, too. Good to have some creative outlets from time to time.
I heard another rumor about me and my so called drug problem. At first I thought it was confined to cocaine, but apparantly there are those that thought I was into heroin, too. Where do people get these things from? Hell, I don't even smoke pot. Good riddance Dallas!
To those special ones... Rose, you're a doll and I love you now and forever. Tenytiny, I'm sorry I haven't written you back yet. I spent literally a half hour typing a big long email, only to lose it all. frustrating, frustrating, frustrating. I'm sorry, I suck. Kelli, you're my honorary neighbor always.
