the past always tells a story
Somehow I just managed to go back and read every single post I had ever made. Two years worth. It was a fascinating experience, really, reliving the old memories. I'm even listening to Mojave 3 for the full effect (maybe Snow Patrol would be better). A lot has happened in almost two years and a lot has changed.
Most importantly, I was reminded that the past always tells a story and that the end of a book would make absolutely no sense without first reading the beginning.
- I was reminded that I find myself having a lot of crushes (some were mentioned that I don't even remember).
- I was reminded that I have some truly great friends and now, even though we're separated by miles and miles of highway, we're still as close as ever.
- I was reminded of a lot of promises I made to myself, none of them ever kept.
- I was reminded that once I acted like a totally insane ex-boyfriend and someone should have set me straight.
- I was reminded of the pure joy and happiness I felt upon first arriving in New York.
- I was reminded that Snow Patrol can always say things better than I ever could.
- I was reminded of a lot of great memories that I failed to ever write about.
- I was reminded that I quit smoking once for a good period of time, and probably should again.
Most importantly, I was reminded that the past always tells a story and that the end of a book would make absolutely no sense without first reading the beginning.
